relief at last…
Weather finally got better. Storms came through, temperature must have dropped about 15 degrees in about 2 hours. Of course, that didn’t happen until AFTER our A/C went out. Ugh. It was unbearable inside. So I went and saw a movie. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Great movie.
Now I’m off to bed, then to the airport. I will be without internet and with poor cell phone coverage until Monday night. Nice!

Yikes. Tomorrow is supposed to be 98 (before heat index). But what a change is coming! Wednesday’s high is forecast to be 96. Thursday? 79.
And the weather is looking downright perfect for vacation – Thursday Sunny, 77. Friday Sunny, 78. Saturday Sunny, 78. Sunday Partly Cloudy, 81. Monday Partly Cloudy, 81.
Heading down to Kennedy Center for an event tonight. George Bush Sr. is going to be there. They are going to try and swing an interview with him.

Put some pictures up from the National Cathedral from yesterday. I went down into Alexandria and DC today to find stuff to shoot. Didn’t find anything that really stood out. I had thought about driving down to St. Mary’s City, MD…I should have. I’ve been there before, and had taken pictures…but unfortunately, that was when my camera door broke – so I lost them all.
Oh…and so far, the weather is looking good for my trip.

No satellite coming in here. I thought the trees would be too high…and I was right. So it looks like cable may be upgraded to extended basic.
Had to work in Arlington today, so when I was done, I drove in to DC, not really sure where I was going. I ended up going to a standby – National Cathedral. But I got some indoor shots, too. Today was a beautiful day. Still hot, but perfect skies. Hopefully tomorrow will be ok, too. And I’m REALLY hoping it’s nice in Indiana next week. I want to go out in the countryside to shoot…lots of Amish people up there, and really old farm houses. Come to think of it, maybe I’ll try and get to Auburn and shoot some at the ACD Museum (that’s Auburn Cord Duesenberg for those who don’t know).

These fit me right now… I’m ashamed and disappointed…all in myself. I have a hard time admitting it…but there is now a song by No Doubt that I don’t mind….ugh, I hate saying that. Anyway… It’s My Life. Well, at least I can use the excuse that they had to rip off someone else’s song to get something decent (and their’s isn’t even close to as good).
Also heard something quite amusing today on the radio. There was an ad for some condos in Reston, near the Town Center. They actually said, “enjoy urban living.”
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Urban???? In RESTON???
