life as a dog…

The place I checked out fell through. He couldn’t find a third. Oh well. I have another that hopefully I can take a look at soon. Unfortunately, the distance from work is about the same (3 miles closer, but heavier traffic). Although for freelance, it’d be MUCH closer – only 10 miles.

I *think* that I’ve found a place. Same place I looked at last Monday. I’m hoping to find out in the next couple days. It will certainly cut down on my commute (and whenever I get around to doing freelance, that commute will be cut almost in half).

Scanning of negatives is coming along nicely. I’m about halfway done. The pages will hopefully go live shortly after my Vegas trip next month. I’m up to just under 1,000 pictures on the pages. Yeah, that’s quite a bit more than are available right now. I need to buy some more film for Vegas. I’m pretty much depleted of any fast film – I think the fastest I have right now is Scala – 200 ISO. I’ll order some 3200 (I like how it looks) and maybe more 200 (color, though). I haven’t really found any 400 or 800 that I like (well, and I’m going to stick with slides from now on).

The cherry blossoms are supposed to start blooming next week, though I can’t see how, as it’s been pretty chilly lately. I have the feeling it won’t be much this year.

How much I really like Scala. I just got a roll back, and just judging by looking at the slides, nearly all look pretty good. Although it’s a bit more expensive, I really like the look of Scala.

Went and checked out a place last night. I hope I get this one. Bedroom is HUGE compared to the one I’m in now, it’s close to work (only 7 miles compared to the 17 now), and the price is right. The person who would be my roommate – seems pretty cool. I should know in a few days. …fingers crossed…

Got official notice from my landlord…he’s moving in, so I’m out. I’ve got to get my lease term at a different time of year…having to look in April is too stressful – since I get knocked out of about 10 days of looking for the annual Las Vegas trip. I’ve got 5 or 6 emails out right now, and one to possibly look at tomorrow. Hopefully this one will work out – it’s location is great for work.
