Fuji is discontinuing Velvia 50. Replacing it with Velvia 100 (not to be confused with Velvia 100F). So I’m wondering if I should get a bunch of 50 or not. The new stuff is supposed to be an upgrade from the old. Guess we’ll see.

All the film slower than 100 is slowly dying out. Agfa 50 ultra…gone. Kodachrome 25…gone. now Velvia 50.

Let’s see…first they said it would start around midnight. Then it changed to 4am. Heavy snow is supposed to be between 10am and 6pm. So right now it is 9:39AM on my computer. How much snow has fallen? A couple flakes.

And they closed EVERYTHING here. Even the government got liberal leave. Bunch of idiots.

Edit to add – it’s now 1:22pm on my computer. There is *maybe* a half inch of snow on the ground. And they are STILL saying 4-7 inches. So unless it falls in a big sheet, I think it’s a bust.

I think I got my very first reggae song. I’ve never really cared for reggae…except for one song that was next to impossible to find. Bob Marley’s “Buffalo Soldier” – the fast version. I know it was on Legend, but only the vinyl version. The tape and CD didn’t have it. But iTunes does.

Just checked weather.com. At this point, they are expecting 1 to 3 inches of snow tonight…but 6 to 10 tomorrow. I need to do a little work on my truck, so I think I’d better do it today. It’s still having issues starting – but I know exactly what it is. The positive lead is a little loose. So I need to clean and re-attach it. Problem is, my tools are all at work. So I guess I’ll be driving up there later this afternoon.

Finally got my Axim today. Bit of advice – avoid the post office’s “Parcel Post” like the plague. Sorry…but two weeks is too long, regardless of the cost.

Anyway…had to replace the backup battery, not a big deal. Now I’m just trying to get all my contact info back into Outlook (hadn’t done it since I reinstalled Windows). Once that’s done, I’ll sync it. I’ll also need to get a bigger CF card. Right now it has a 256MB one. I think I can get a 1gig card for about $70. Then I’ll use the 256 for my camera.
