more deaths…
Two more deaths – Donald “Make ‘Em Laugh” O’Connor and Elia Kazan this weekend.
Family slides scanning is nearly complete. I still have 1969, 1970, 1971 and 1972 to scan. Not bad considering last week at this time I had only 1960 and 1979/1980/1982 done.
After that comes my own slides, and then family prints. Will it ever end?

Geez….what’s with these people dying suddenly? First John Ritter, now Robert Palmer?!
Oh, and one that wasn’t so sudden, I guess…Gordon Jump. AKA Arthur Carlson in one of the best damn shows ever, WKRP In Cincinnati.

Went to the dentist today for a checkup and cleaning. All is good. Thank god for that. Now I don’t have to see him again for another six months.
Scanning is progressing slowly. I’m on 1973 – there’s probably close to 500 slides for this year. It’s going to be the longest of all of them.

Finally figured out the name of the guy on VH1 that I find about as far from funny as possible. Mo Rocca. The guy simply isn’t funny. He tries to be…tries to have this wry sense of humor. He fails miserably. His comments are so obvious, so cliched it’s ridiculous. That’s all I really have to say about him.

This weekend is “Official Scanning Weekend” for me. I’m not going to do much of anything but scan as many slides as possible. It’s pretty tedious, but at least I’m using a faster computer to do it. It’d probably go faster, but I have to burn the pics onto CD as well.
I would have had more done last night (I got about 70 done), but I had a raging headache, and I felt sick. So I was asleep by 8pm (I don’t remember the last time I fell asleep that early). Then I woke up at 5am, fully rested. So I spent about an hour scanning another 20 slides. Went back to bed for a couple hours, and now back to scanning.
