There was a show on last night on the History Channel. Roadside Attractions. So I found this: Roadside America. Some bizarre stuff still out there, even though most independent businesses are long gone.
Also along the same lines: The Extra Miler Club. And no, the title is in no way affliliated with the Mile High Club. Some of these people have taken it to an extreme – visiting every COUNTY in the US. That’s a LOT of work.
My back is killing me…what I wouldn’t do for a good back rub right about now. It’s been so long since I’ve gotten one.

This is kinda cool. I’ve heard of people making computers out of odd things, but this site actually shows a ton of them. I had a co-worker once who wanted to transform an old Apple //e into a new computer.
Speaking of computers, I was up at Best Buy the other day, and they have completely redesigned the store. They have a bunch of Alienware computers in the center. Those are some kickass looking computers. 50s retro auto styling to them.

So…was anyone aware that Secretary of Transportation, Norman Mineta, uses a walker? Not a big deal…but I don’t think he usually shows up in public with it.

I don’t care WHAT anyone else says. The best source for news is STILL The Online Newshour Keep an eye on June 2. That’s when your news becomes even LESS diverse among the commercial outlets.
