life as a dog…

OK, so I haven’t posted in a while. I have my reasons. Dentist visits aren’t fun. I’ll leave it at that.

So now it’s 9:30pm, and I have to drive to Baltimore Airport tomorrow…at 3am. Ugh. I hate early flights from that airport. Dulles isn’t bad, but damn….Baltimore. Heading to Festus, Missouri. Yeah, exactly…where the hell is that? It’s about 40 miles south of St. Louis. I wish I had more time there – I’d try to do some genealogy work. My mom’s half of the family is from that area. I’m actually going to be near my uncle’s house. Not like I have time to get there, though. Fly in…work…fly out.

Finally back at home. Was in Vegas for a week, then Seattle for about 36 hours. It’s good to be home.

BUT… just got back from the dentist. Ugh. I have a severe fear of going to the dentist. I think it has to do with needles. I once had to get a shot in the roof of my mouth. I don’t think there is anything more painful. Just the thought of it makes me wince.

So I get the great news that I need not only a root canal (I figured as much), but that I need TWO of them. They aren’t as bad as people make them out to be. No worse than drilling and filling (it’s all numb, anyway). On a good note…I did get tylenol-3 for my toothache. (And amoxicillin to relieve the pressure from the infection in the tooth.) Ugh. Go back Friday to have the things done. NOT looking forward to it, but I’ll be glad when it’s all over.
